Accessing Software Share

Licensed software is available to students, faculty, and staff through the Software Share. The Software Share is a Windows-based share located on department server "chemesvr2." You will need a Chemical Engineering account to access this share. Additionally, this share is only available while directly connected to the campus network.
Here are the steps for connecting to Chemical Engineering's Software Share:
Part I: Connecting to chemesvr2
Click "start" and then click on "Run..."
Type "\\chemesvr2" into the box as shown:

You will be prompted with a box titled "Enter Network Password" as shown below:

In the "Connect As" box, type "chemead\'cheme username'", where 'cheme username' is your own cluster name associated with your Chemical Engineering account.
In the "Password" box, type in your cluster password. So, the "Enter Network Password" box should now look like:

If you have done this correctly, a window titled "chemesvr2" will open, and you have successfully connected to chemesvr2
Part II: Finding and installing software
Double-click on the "Software" folder.
Double-click on the "Table of Contents" text file
Find the location of the software you need within the Table of Contents file.
Navigate to the location found in Step 3, and follow the installation instructions to install the software.
