Biegler wins Fenves Award

Professor Larry Biegler has won CIT's 2004-2005 Steven J. Fenves Award for ICES Systems Research. Professor Biegler's selection by the committee was based on his significant contributions in the design of complex reactor systems, and pioneering contributions in the conception, development, and application of optimization algorithms based on sequential quadratic programming and interior point methods and for his dedication in disseminating optimization codes throughout academia, government and industry. The award will be presented at the CIT Awards Banquet on Saturday, February 19, 2005, 6-10 pm at the PAA.
